We all remember our first "true love" experience right? Like Bobby McDrew in kindergarten who, even though he pulled your hair you still were "in love with". Or Sally Owens who always ran after you trying to give you kisses, but you ran away, even though you liked her, because you were afraid what other boys might think....

Well, lets take a deeper look at this....

Bobby McDrew is kinda like the world..in what way you may ask? Because no matter how much they persecute us or how much they "pull our hair" we are still totally in love with them and try so hard to conform to their ways...hmm..sound familiar?

and guess who Sally Owens is like?

Yep, she is like Jesus, who most of us know loves us and is constantly loving you and is never gonna give up on you...but we are afraid to love him back because we are worried about what other people might think..yeah..uh uh...that's what i thought...

But I have some good news! You are not alone...all of us struggle with these problems...the cure to this is to.....*drumroll* yep...

What? you don't know how? hmmm..don't worry in the next couple of paragraphs i will walk you through the plan of salvation...like you've never seen it...

Step 1: Realize that you (and everyone else in the world - including me) have messed up...sound absurd? well it's not..let's see what Romans 3:23 says...

"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God..."

Yep, we have all done it the little three letter word *not what you might be thinking trust me* it starts with a "s" and ends with a "n"

with a big "I" in the middle *for a good reason*.. yep it is SIN...

Oopps....

..but wait..there's more...

Step 2: Know that God has paid the price for your sin...

He sent his son Jesus - aka the: to die on the:

for your sins...think about it...when we love someone we usually just give them some flowers or a box of chocolate...but He gave his LIFE...that's the ultimate sacrifice and near death, He said,
"It is finished" (John 19:30) which meant that no one would have to die because of their sins and no more animal sacrifices had to be made *yeah, no more smelly dead goats or sheep* but really, think about it...He did all this just for YOU and ME and then He rose again three days later! (Matthew 28:1-10)

That's why....

Step 3: pray and...

He will save you...all you have to do is ask...

"whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved..."

Pray:

Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and that I have done wrong against you..I ask you to come into my heart and save me. I ask you to become my personal Lord and Saviour and to help me live a better life and I ask for you to guide my thoughts, words, and actions that they may be done in Your will, Amen.

Step 4: If you have just asked Jesus into your heart...Rejoice!

Congratulations on your new life! Now you need to make your decision public...To do this, you need to go to the front of the church during the end of the service, usually refered to as "invitation" and tell your preacher about your decision and that you would like to make it public and become a member of the church. You also need to ask to be baptised (Matthew 3:6). Good Luck!

Step 5: this is the hardest step and contains several things you need to do *but it's woth it*:

pray for repentance and help daily (or more) *it's not just a one time thing*
read your Bible (Click here for free Online Bible) and put it to work (James 1:22-25)
You need to help share the Good News! (witness)
